How to Vote Early in the City Election
Residents can vote early in most Nov. 5 city elections at the Story County Auditor's office through Nov. 4.
Early voting has begun for the Nov. 5 city elections in Story County.
All residents can vote early from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Story County Auditor's office in Nevada, 900 6th Street.
All Ames wards have at least one contested race: Amber Corrieri and Anne Kinzel will face off for the single at-large seat.

Gloria Betcher and Justin Dodge hope to secure the Ward 1 seat and Chris Nelson and Incumbent Victoria Szopinski are both running for the Ward 4 seat.
Mayor Ann Campbell and Incumbent Council Member Peter Orazem and newcomer Timothy L. Gartin are also on the ballot. Orazem is running for the Ward 3 seat and Gartin is running for the Ward 2 seat.

People may vote early at the Auditor's office through Nov. 4. Residents may also request an absentee ballot by filling out the “Official Iowa Absentee Ballot Request Form.” These forms are available on the Story County Website at www.storycountyiowa.gov under the Auditor and Elections link.
