Friday Football Scores: Ames High Little Cyclones Face SE Polk Rams

Ames High Little Cyclones edged out Southeast Polk 45-42 Friday.

Ames High School Little Cyclones are up against Southeast Polk Rams 7 p.m. Friday. They will play away in Pleasant Hill.

After a win against the Des Moines East Scarlets the Little Cyclones are now 1-0. Southeast Polk is 0-1.

But sport fans have been warned not to read too much into either team's first game, reports the Ames Tribune. Southeast Polk faced No. 2 Dowling Catholic, while Ames took on “overmatched” Des Moines East in the season openers.

The Rams high school stadium is at the Southeast Polk High School, 8325 NE University Ave., Pleasant Hill.

Located on Highway 163 (East University) approximately 8 miles east of Des Moines and 5 miles south of Altoona.  From I-235 take East University Exit and proceed east on Hwy 163 (East University) to the high school.  From I-80, take exit 141 south on the Hwy. 65/69 bypass to Hwy. 163 (East University) and turn left. High School will be on the south of the highway.
