ISU Announces Three Provost Finalists

Three finalists will begin making their campus visits Monday, but one of them will not have to travel far.

Three men, one who works at , were named as finalists in the search for Iowa State's next senior vice president and provost, ISU News Service announced today.

The finalists are:

David Manderscheid, University of Nebraska's Dean of College of Arts and Sciences, Carlo Montemagno, University of Cincinnati's Founding Dean of College of Engineering and Applied Science and Jonathan Wickert, Iowa State's Dean of the College of Engineering.

Manderscheid will be on campus April 23-25; Montemagno, April 26-28; and Wickert, April 22-24. Each candidate will participate in an open forum. The schedule follows below.

Wickert's forum is 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Pioneer Room, Memorial Union.

Manderscheid's forum is 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Pioneer Room, Memorial Union.

Montemagno's forum is 10:45 a.m. Friday at The Gallery, Memorial Union.

Current Provost Elizabeth Hoffman said in February that she would leave her post by December 2012. The search for the Iowa State University College of Business Dean was placed on hold until Hoffman's replacement is named.
