Each week Patch will feature a pet in need of a good home, courtesy of the Ames Animal Shelter.

This week's Patch Pet is Dalanie, a short-haired black and white neutered male. The spayed female is 5-years-old. His front and back paws are declawed.
Jane Biddle, the shelter's animal clerk, said he would make a great family pet with his wonderful temperament. Call 515-239-5530 to adopt him.

The Ames Animal Shelter is located at 325 Billy Sunday Road. Hours are noon to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Mondays. The shelter is closed on Sundays and holidays.
