Now Open: Dunkin' Donuts

Dunkin' Donuts opened Wednesday in Ames. A grand opening is set for March.

Correction: Due to incorrect information provided by the Dunkin' Donuts chain hours reported in an earlier version of this story were wrong. The Ames store will be open from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. initially.

Dunkin' Donuts opened 5 a.m. Wednesday at 2650 Lincoln Way, the former Taco Bell site.

The location will be open from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. initially and its drive thru window will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The store has a drive thru window and free WiFi.

Dunkin' Donuts serves coffee and donuts anytime, but people will also find breakfast sandwiches, egg and cheese wraps and other baked goods, according to a release from the company.

A grand opening is planned in March and the event will benefit Boys and Girls Club of Story County.

The store is one of eight Dunkin' Donuts locations planned to open in the Ames and East Des Moines area and owned by LJK Holdings of Johnston.
