Ames Police Blotter: Woman Assaults Officer, Refuses to Return to Hospital Room

Ames woman faces charges after refusing to return to her hospital bed.

A 25-year-old Ames woman was charged with assault on a peace officer and more when she allegedly refused to return to her hospital room and kicked a police officer who was there for another matter, criminal complaints on file at the Ames Police Department said.

Shauna Davis was allegedly yelling and refused to go back to her room just after midnight Jan. 8, the complaints said. She was asked to return to her room several times before the officer intervened and Davis kicked her in the process, complaints said. Davis was charged with assault on a peace officer and disorderly conduct. Police later found a pipe used for smoking methamphetamine in her purse, according to complaints. She was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. All charges were misdemeanors.

Lakeisha McDuffy, 24, Ames, was charged with criminal trespass.

Dennis Norman, 40, Ames, was charged with felon in possession of a firearm.

Malachi Woods, 22, Ames, was charged with trespassing.

Jan. 7

Derrick Crawford, 19, Ames, was charged with public intoxication.

Javon Latimore, 22, Ames, was charged with drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.

Abigail Lee, 18, Ames, was charged with second-degree harassment and disorderly conduct.

Dex Ohara, 20, Ames, was charged with driving while revoked and possession of a controlled substance.

Cassandra Prindle, 23, was charged with operating while intoxicated, second offense.

Jan. 8

Daniel Anderson, 21, Corwith, was charged with operating while intoxicated, first offense.

Justus Buckels, 19, Ames, was charged with serious assault.

Shauna Davis, 25, Ames, was charged with assault on a peace officer, drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct.

Cody Menke, 21, Ames, was charged with disorderly conduct.

Adrien Ross, 30, Ames, was charged with public intoxication.

Randy Silverthorn, 51, Ames, was charged with public intoxication, third offense.

Jan. 9

Alexander Hernandez, 22, Ames, was charged with public intoxication.
