Police: Man's Rifle Stolen at Gun Point

Four area men have been arrested on first-degree robbery charges.

Four men were charged with first-degree robbery for allegedly stealing another man's rifle at gun point early Saturday, according to a release from the Ames Police Department.

A 24-year-old man called 911 about 3 a.m. Saturday and said that a group of men held him at gun point in the 1100 block of Northwestern Avenue and took his rifle, according to the release. Four men were identified as participating in the robbery through an investigation and the rifle was recovered in Story City, according to police.

Tavin Daudinot, 22, of Boone, Jeremy D. McCorley, 23, of Story City, Demonte L Jackson, 21, of Boone and Dominic L. Lee, 22, of Boone were all charged with first-degree robbery a Class B felony, punishable by up to 25 years in prison and possession of marijuana.

Daudinot was also charged with driving while suspended. McCorley was also charged with felon in possession of a firearm, a Class D felony, punishable by up to five years in prison.

All four men were being held in the Story County Jail Monday. Daudinot's bond was set at $26,300. Jackson's bond was set at $26,000. Lee's bond was set at $26,000. And McCorley's bond was set at $32,000.
