A 25-year-old Ames man was charged with assault with injury Thursday for hitting a man in the head with a bottle of Jack Daniels, according to criminal complaints.
Harmit Singh first tried to grab a can of Red Bull from Wise Guys cooler about 5:30 p.m. and got into a scuffle when another man tried to stop him, complaints said. He later picked up a bottle of Jack Daniels and struck that man on the head, complaints said. Singh was arrested on assault charges.
