Sen. Rand Paul, Donald Trump Among Those Invited to Family Leader Summit
The second annual Christian conservative event will take place in Ames on August 10.
Christian conservative group The Family Leader will hold its second-annual leadership summit in Ames this August, according to the Des Moines Register.
The group has invited national political leaders to Iowa to talk about threats facing the country and families, the article said.
The summit is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 10 at Stephens Auditorium at Iowa State University.
Those invited to attend include Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, Texas Gov. Rick Perry, U.S. Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky, New York City businessman Donald Trump, actor/radio host Stephen Baldwin, former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania, U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, former U.S. Sen. Jim DeMint of South Carolina, and U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida.
