I live to explore the world's cultures, food, and people. One of my life goals is to have visited as many countries as years old I am, and so far I am ahead of the game and am swiftly approaching my 30th country. I must credit my incredible undergraduate experience and opportunities to study abroad at The University of Iowa.

My true passion lies in the health field, specifically the women and youth of a community. I have had the great opportunity to be a part of the non-profit, Iowa Physicians for Social Responsibility (IPSR) since 2010 and focus on the educating communities about the health consequences related to CO2 emissions from coal-fired power plants. I aspire to one day implement my own health campaign across the nation to address the reproductive health of women.

In March of 2012, I was selected to be the sole reprsentative of the U.S. in an International Peace Bike Tour in Japan during August 2012. It is hosted by the non-profit, International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War (IPPWN). I will bike 500 km from Nagasaki to Hiroshima with 43 other activists from around the world. Along the way, we activists will discuss with locals and politicians how to work collaboratively toward peace, nonproliferation, and the future of shared environment. If you're interested in the effort and would like to make a contribution, please read and/or donate here.
