Public Intoxication and Nuisance Parties Top Weekend VEISHEA Reports

More than 60 people were arrested from 3 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Sunday.

  More than 60 people were arrested on more than 80 charges during this year's VEISHEA weekend according to a report compiled by the Ames Police Department. The arrests were tabulated from 3 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Sunday. Ames police arrested a total of 62 people on 84 charges. VEISHEA is a week long celebration of Iowa State University that draws the most visitors during the weekend for festivities. Ames Police CMDR.
