What's Happening in Ames this Weekend?

More Iowa Games, the Shrine Bowl, Wine and more.

The Iowa Games continues for the third weekend from 8 a.m. Friday to 10 p.m. Sunday. Games this weekend include: baseball, dodgeball, cowboy action shoot, figure skating and more. Iowa Shrine Bowl The Iowa Shrine Bowl Game is an all-star football game featuring college athletes on the north south line of the state of Iowa begins 7 p.m. Saturday at Jack Trice Stadium in Ames. Gates open at 5 p.m. but a parade starts the day in downtown Ames. The parade begins at 9:30 a.m. an autograph session is held at Tom Evans Plaza immediately following the parade. Midsummer Wine Fest Reiman Gardens will offer wine, beer, music and food in addition to its flowers and gardens Friday. Midsummer Wine Fest is from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Friday. Wineries include …

What's Happening in Ames This Weekend?

Tune into Main Street, Municipal Band and Summerfest all this weekend.

Are you looking for something to do in Ames this weekend? Here are just a few of the things going on. Main Street Music Thursday Tune in to Main Street is June 7. CW Hobbs will perform from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday in Tom Evans Plaza. Municipal Band Ames Municipal Band performs from 8 to 9 p.m. Thursday June 7 at the Durham Bandshell. The concerts are free. Pre concert entertainment is offered from 7 to 7:45 p.m. Hoggatt School Game Day Hoggatt School Game Day is from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday June 10 at 18th Street and Burnett. The old schoolhouse will be open from 2 to 4 p.m. At 3 p.m. visitors can play games that school children once did in 1860. Ames on the Halfshell Echo 18 performs from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Durham Bandshell. …
