Here's a list of events happening in Ames this weekend starting tonight. The Midwest Summer Startup Basketball Tournaments are also happening in Ames this weekend starting Friday. Tune into Main Street Warm up for the weekend with Tune into Main Street from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Tom Evans Plaza, with a performance by the Gatehouse Saints, then walk down to the Bandshell for the Ames Municipal Band Concert. Are you looking for something to do in Ames this weekend? Here are just a few of the things going on. Main Street Music Tune in to Main Street is June 14. Local musician Ryan Sheeler performs 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday in Tom Evans Plaza. Hoggatt School Game Day Hoggatt School Game Day is from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday June 17 at 18th Street and Burnett. The old schoolhouse will be open from 2 to 4 p.m. At 3 p.m. visitors can play games that school children once did in 1860. Art Walk The 18th Annual Artwalk at Downtown Businesses will display the work of local artists from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday. Works include jewelry, painters, photographers, wood workers and more.
