To the Editor, I am a proud member of the Blue Zones team, a new initiative to improve the lifestyles of cities across the states. Ames is a candidate and finalist, and I write this letter to create awareness throughout our city. If we are chosen, we will be able to enhance the lives of many through various, simple habits. Living well in Ames means as a former student-athlete at Iowa State giving back to the youth through various sports program. Living well in Ames means going for a walk around Ada Hayden with my husband. Living well in Ames means having great and healthy restaurant options to chose from.
