The City of Ames will provide free disposal of Christmas trees at the Maintenance Shop, 1125 E. 13th Street, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7. You should remove the ornaments, tinsel and tree stand before you bring it, the release from the city says.
