Big Brothers Big Sisters Center Closing in Ames

County program chair said the center needed more involvement and donations.

A Story County branch of matched 130 children with mentors but is closing its Ames office after just three years, KCCI reports.

Matches will continue to be served through the Des Moines office, but some wonder what will happen to the program without a local office.

Matt Ashburn, Chair of the Story County board in Story County, told KCCI:
