Steve King Wasn't Sexy Enough but ISU Coach Paul Rhoads Was

Congressman Steve King didn't receive enough votes to make it in the final round of Des Moines Cityview's sexiest person in Des Moines contest, but ISU Football Coach Paul Rhoads did.

Well Congressman Steve King, R-Kiron, apparently was not sexy enough but ISU Football Coach Paul Rhoads might be.

Both the 4th District congressman and the Cyclones coach were nominated to Des Moines City View's Sexiest Person in Des Moines contest but only one made it into one of 16 finalist slots. And it wasn't Steve King.

Rhoads is the last of 16 named finalists, which were listed in no particular order. The City View bio next to the coach's photo states:

It’s finally safe to wear red and gold on Saturdays again thanks to the sexy and boisterous Paul Rhoads. Sure, he is limited to red, white and the ever-fetching grey sweats while on the field, but the this man’s man can rock a necktie and Dockers in so sexy a style at press conferences, the reporter’s pen is the only thing in the room in danger of going dry.

About 120 people were nominated according to the publication's website. Rhoads and 15 others will be invited to the Des Moines' Sexiest People party at Cabaret West Glen Thursday.

Rhoads has served as the Cyclones head coach for three years. Before coming to Ames he served as the defensive coordinator for Auburn University and the University of Pittsburgh and was an assistant coach at Iowa State University from 1995 to 1999.
