In the perplexing ways that only make sense to people who vote in the polls, TCU (4-1) came in ahead of Iowa State (4-1), at No. 23 in the Coaches Poll, even after losing.

This is the first time Iowa State has been ranked since November 2005. That squad included Bret Meyer, Austin Blyth, Stevie Hicks and Jamar Buchanan.
