Heartwarming: Man Proposes to Iowa State Basketball Player on Center Court; She Says, 'Yes' (Video)

The game was over on Sunday, but there was some important business remaining for Cyclone basketball player Anna Prins before she left the court at Hilton Coliseum in Ames.

AMES, IA -- The Iowa State Cyclones had just finished walloping Alabama State 86-47 on Sunday, but the best action came after the buzzer sounded.

Anna Prins, the 6-foot-7 starting center from Bloomfield, CO, put in a solid day with seven points, two blocks, five rebounds and three assists. But, was she in for a surprise after the game ended.

She wound up on center court during an address to fans at Hilton Coliseum in Ames by Coach Bill Fennelly. Her boyfriend Ryan De Hamer pops out, grabs the mic and with a small box in one hand gets down on one knee, and, well, you know the rest.

Prins said, 'yes,' embraced De Hamer and the newly engaged couple was quickly swarmed by teammates. True love is being able to hug someone when they are really sweaty and you are not.

"There's certain things in life that are more important than basketball, and that's one of those moments we will always remember," Coach Fennelly said after the game.

He said De Hamer approached him a few months ago, and "no one knew about it."

What a great surprise and a great way to end the year.
