Former Iowa State Track Coach Steve Lynn Dies

ISU's former head track coach Steve Lynn, 61, died Wednesday.

Former Iowa State University Track Coach Steve Lynn, 61, of Ames, died Wednesday at Mary Greeley Medical Center, according to a release from Iowa State University Athletics.

Lynn's death was related to a fall that took place in his home last week, according to an article posted at thegazette.com.

Lynn was a former Big Eight Conference Track Coach-of-the-Year and served as head coach for 14 years and 16 years as an assistant coach. Lynn was instrumental in winning 15 Big Eight Conference track and field titles between 1981 and 1994, according to a release from the university.
