Bubu Palo Dropped from Iowa State University Cyclones Basketball Team

Palo, who was reinstated to the team last year after a sex abuse charge was dropped, will no longer be allowed to play basketball for the Cyclones.

Bubu Palo, a reserve guard, who was temporarily suspended from the Iowa State University Cyclones basketball team last season after being charged with second-degree sex abuse has been permanently removed from the team, but it is unclear why.

The Story County Attorney's office dropped the sex abuse charges before going to trial saying that there were inconsistencies with the accuser's testimony and Palo was allowed back on the team. However the University's Office of Judicial Affairs decision that allowed Palo to return to the team last year, has been appealed, according to an AP report.

The statement, as reported by the AP, said that Palo had violated ISU's Student Code of Conduct.
