Ames High Little Cyclones to Face Sioux City East

High School Varsity Football will play Sioux City East in playoffs tonight, giving Ames High Senior Jake Mills another shot to shine.

Ames High School Little Cyclones finished its regular season 5-4 and faces Sioux City East 7-2 in its first play-off game tonight.

The game begins at 7 p.m. at Elwood Olsen Stadiumin Sioux City, 1501 Morningside Ave.

Highlights of this past season include Jake Mills, a defensive back, tying a national prep record for returning two interceptions for touchdowns in the same quarter, according to an article in the Des Moines Register. Ames High finished the Oct. 5 game against Des Moines North 70-6.
