Alec Johnson, 60, who led the Take Down King campaign in Ames, during King's latest run for Congress, was arrested in a protest of the Keystone Pipeline outside a Houston office in January.

Johnson, of Ames, was charged with trespass on Jan. 7 and booked in the Harris County Jail.
The Keystone XL Pipeline would connect oil sands in Alberta Canada to American refineries through Oklahoma. Construction of the pipeline would increase domestic oil production and job creation but it could also have a devastating impact on the environment including an increase of greenhouse gases, giving President Obama a difficult decision to make, according to an article on abcnews.com
