Mock Mitt Romneys to Protest Mitt Romney in Ames

There will be more than one Mitt Romney in Ames Friday.

There should be enough of Mitt Romney to go around during his Ames campaign visit Friday.

Progress Iowa plans to protest Romney's Kinzler Construction appearance with several other Mitt Romneys “to protest whichever current version of Mitt Romney decides to show up in Ames, Iowa,” a release from the organization stated.

“During the course of this campaign, there’s no one Mitt Romney has disagreed with more than Mitt Romney,” Matt Sinovic, executive director of Progress Iowa said in a prepared statement.

“All of Mitt Romney’s past versions of himself have been denied a voice by his campaign; tomorrow in Ames they will be free to say what they think -- whatever gets them the most votes.”

The protest is expected to being 9:30 a.m. Friday at 2335 230th Street in Ames.

Progress Iowa joined a protest outside Ames shuttered Workforce Development Office last April calling for the Warren Buffett rule saying that 1,500 millionaires paid no income taxes in 2009 or paid taxes at a lower rate than the working class.

They said the closed Workforce Development office was a symbol of a broken tax system.
