Congressman Steve King Leads Tom Latham, Brad Zaun in Second US Senate Poll

King remains the front runner among Republicans for Tom Harkin's senate seat according to early polling results.

A second poll of Republicans in Iowa revealed that Congressman Steve King would be the front runner for the GOP Nomination of Tom Harkin's US Senate seat.

About 35 percent of 800 likely Republican Primary voters said they would pick King over Rep. Tom Latham,  Sen. Brad Zaun and others, according to a release from the Citizens United Political Victory Fund.

The poll was conducted by Wenzel Strategies Feb. 1 and Feb. 2 and had a margin of error of 3.44 percent. Results follow below:

Steve King – 34.3%

Kim Reynolds – 9.8%

Bob Vander Plaats – 9.2%

Brad Zaun – 3.2%

Bill Northey – 3.2%

Matt Schultz – 1.4 %

David Vaudt – .5%

Not sure – 19.5%
