Ames Seeking Volunteer to Guide Development

Zoning Board of Adjustment has an opening.

The City of Ames is taking applications to fill an unexpired term on the Zoning Board of Adjustment.

Mayor Ann Campbell would appoint a new person to the term which expires April 1.

The Zoning Board of Adjustment is a quasi-judicial board that hears applications and appeals by individuals on errors, exceptions, special permits, conditional use permits, and variances, which all pertain to zoning regulations.

The Zoning Board of Adjustment meetings are generally held the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month during April through October.

Applications are available in the City Clerk’s Office, on the second floor of City Hall. Also, applications are available online at www.cityofames.org.

Applications will be accepted through Sept. 19.
