Bah Humbug, Drug Arrest Sends Ames Man to Jail for Christmas: Ames Police Blotter

Arrests do not indicate convictions.

CORRECTION: Information about charges against a man named David Anthony Walker, 45, of 919 S. 16th St. No. 319, were incorrect. Walker faces a charge of interferrence with official acts and driving under suspension.

John Emery Delong, 25, of 1221 Mayfield Dr., found himself getting arrested on Christmas and charged with two crimes: possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The arrests occurred at 10:15 p.m. on Dec. 25 at his home.

Other arrests in the Ames Police Blotter:

Edward A. Isaksson, 51, of Eau Claire, WI, was arrested for drunken driving at 1:01 a.m. on Dec. 28 at 100 Lincoln Way and Franklin Avenue.

Tawana Vaeller Mundell, 28, of 1027 6th St., was arrested for public consumption at 2:54 a.m. on Dec. 28 at home.

Michael Roy Owings, 60, 411 9th St., was arrested for harassment at 9:25 a.m. on Dec. 27 at the 100 block of SE 2nd.

Kimberly Ann Buss, 25, of 3803 Tripp St. No. 11, was arrested for drug paraphernalia and drug possession at 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 27 at home.

Mervin Raymond Bettis, 49, of 180 Fountain View Dr., was arrested for simulated public intoxication, at 8 a.m. on Dec. 27 at home.

Jeffrey Paul Erickson, 31, of Des Moines, was arrested for public intoxication at 12:06 a.m. on Dec. 26 at 919 S. 16th St.

Jairo Lemuel Gregorio-Sandov Al, 30, of 903 Pinon Dr. No. 5, was arrested for public intoxication at 4:54 a.m. on Dec. 25 at 4606 Ontario St.

John Emery Delong, 25, 1221 Mayfield Dr., was arrested for possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia at 10:15 p.m. on Dec. 25 at home.
