Ames Man Among Saturday Football Arrests: Iowa-Iowa State Week

A report on the people arrested during the football festivities this past Saturday.

An Ames man was among more than 150 people charged after the Iowa-Iowa State game Saturday in Iowa City according to a release from the University of Iowa.

UI Police issued the following number of citations

PAULA Citations: 22
Open Container in Public Citations:  117
Open Container in a Motor Vehicle: 1
Jail Transports: 15

The following individuals were arrested during football game day operations:

Kozlowski, Thomas Paul, 19 of Ames, IA for Public Intox at Melrose/Melrose Cir at 1051 hours. Kozlowski had an open container & was told to stop, but he kept walking. Kozlowski admitted drinking & had slurred speech. Kozlowski blew .132 PBT.

Ungs, Alison Catherine, 20 of Iowa City, IA for Public Intox at Myrtle Lot at 1105 hours. Ungs fell down in a ditch. Ungs had slurred speech & admitted drinking. Ungs refused PBT.

Huntebrinker, Michael John, 20 of Chesterfield, MO for Public Intox at Kinnick at 1354 hours. Huntebrinker appeared at Kinnick under the influence of alcohol. Huntebrinker had slurred speech & admitted drinking. Refused PBT.

Nenadal, Joshua D, 18 of Brecksville, OH for Public Intox at Kinnick at 1353 hours. Nenadal was trying to sneak a bag into Kinnick. Nenadal admitted drinking.  Nenadal blew .152 PBT.

Brock, Joseph Ragan, 18, of Monroe, IA for Providing False Info at Kinnick at 1602 hours. Brock was holding a bottle of beer. Brock stated he did not have an ID. Brock gave the officer a wrong date of birth.

Kopsa, Aaron Lawrence, 19, of Newton, IA for Interference with official acts & Providing False Info at Kinnick at 1602 hours. Kopsa was holding a beer. Kopsa gave the officer a wrong date of birth. Officer was placing Kopsa under arrest & he tried to run from the officer.

Moen, Christopher Dobbs, 21 of Okoboji, IA for Public Intox at Melrose/Hawkins at 1635 hours. Moen was involved in a verbal argument after being kicked out of the football game. Moen was asked to leave the property. Moen had slurred speech & blew .214 PBT.

Baggett, Amy L, 25 of Davenport, IA for Interference with Official Acts at Melrose/Hawkins at 1520 hours. Baggett was being issued an open container citation and walked away from the officer.

Hilleman, Ericka Leigh, 19 of Marshalltown, IA for Public Intox at Kinnick at 1518 hours. Hilleman attempted to enter Kinnick with an improper ticket. Hilleman refused to leave when requested. Hilleman smelled of alcohol & admitted drinking. Hilleman blew .274 PBT.

Fox, Jason Michael, 19 of Orland Park, IL for Public Intox at Kinnick at 1506 hours. Fox was approached by officers in the concourse. Fox was uncooperative with officers. Fox admitted drinking & blew .139 PBT.

Meyer, Claire Marie, 19 of Robins, IA for Public Intox at Kinnick at 1506 hours. Meyer was found by security in restroom and reported to officers. Meyer smelled of alcohol & was unsteady on her feet. Meyer admitted drinking & refused PBT.

Spencer, James Nelson, 26 of Vail, CO for Public Intox at Kinnick at 1515 hours.  Spencer walked into the stadium without paying and was in possession of an open container. Spencer had slurred speech & was unsteady on his feet. Spencer refused PBT.

Hinton, Weston Clark, 18 of Ely, IA for Public Intox at Melrose/Melrose Cir at 1412 hours. Hinton fell over & his friends had to hold him from hitting the ground. Hinton had slurred speech & admitted drinking. Hinton blew .223 PBT.

Andry, Benjamin Francis, 21 of Walcott, IA for Public Intox at Kinnick at 1452. Andry was swaying from side to side and had a hard time walking. Andry admitted drinking & blew .222 PBT.

Carlson, Brayton Carl Wesley, 18 of Ely, IA for Public Intox at Kinnick at 1336 hours. Carlson walked through the gate and did not have a ticket. Carlson had slurred speech & was unable to perform simple tasks like removing his ID from his wallet. Carlson blew .221 PBT.

Miller, Elizabeth A, 21 of Iowa City, IA for Public Intox and Interference with Official Acts at Kinnick at 1427 hours. Miller appeared to be under the influence of alcohol in public. Miller had slurred speech & smelled of alcohol & refused PBT. Miller resisted arrest & tried to take away handcuffs from officers & pulled away from officers.

Dobry, Jacob E, 18 of Minooka, IL for Public Intox and Trespass at Kinnick at 1706 hours. Dobry was located standing on the sideline in a yellow security jacket. Dobry attempted to appear as if he was working on behalf of the University. Dobry blew .144 PBT.

Rollenhagen, Erin Shawn, 42 of Waukee, IA for Public Intox at Kinnick at 1807 hours. Rollenhagen was being carried on a friend’s back & she vomited. Rollenhagen blew .212 PBT.

Aviles, Hector Luis, 18 of Iowa City, IA for Public Intox at Slater Hall at 1612 hours. Aviles was in the area of an activated pull station. Aviles smelled of alcohol & had slurred speech & poor balance. Aviles refused PBT.

Miller, Jamie LEE, 35 of Lost Nation, IA for Public Intox at 200 Blk E Washington at 1703 hours. Officer observed Miller & a female shoving each other. Miller jumped in front of the officer‘s patrol vehicle & said “take me to jail”. Miller admitted he had a lot to drink, refused PBT.

Hanrahan, Ryan Francis, 39 of Cedar Rapids, IA for OWI at the Vehicle Safety Check Point.
