Ames Lowlights This Week Include Peppered and Tasered Football Players, Fights With a High Heel

Ames police seem to have a lot on their hands especially when alcohol is involved.

Area media are reporting that another Iowa State University football player is in trouble and alcohol might be to blame.

That concludes a week of strange crime news that started over the weekend with a bar fight in which the owner was struck with a heel.

In the latest incident, KCCI reports that Ames police used pepper spray on football player Jake Lattimer after breaking up a fight.

Lattimer, 23, of Friley Road, was charged with disorderly conduct, public intoxication, first offense; and interference with official acts, according to Ames Police Department's daily arrest log. Lattimer has already been released from jail.

Earlier in the week, one man received several charges after allegedly being involved in a at Club Element. He was accused of assaulting two bartenders and hitting the owner Scott Davis with a high heeled shoe.

That same day a relieved herself in the back of a squad car.

Another ISU football found passed out got zinged by a Taser after allegedly waking up and taking a fighting stance.
