K-4 Art Classes Starting Feb 15 In Ankeny

Looking for a special winter activity for your young child? Both K-4 Art Exploration and Hand-Building with Clay classes start February 15!

Let the Ankeny Art Center introduce your Kindergarten to 4th Grade child to pottery hand-building with clay or art exploration. There is no shortage to the exciting projects that your child will produce in these classes! Our creative clay projects will teach the basics as well as creative hand-building techniques to include pinching, coiling, sculpture, and glazing. Your child will absolutely love rolling the clay out, pressing a stamp or creating a sculpture!

In Art Exploration, your child will use a variety of media in 2D and 3D for this project based class. Children will explore varied art techniques and traditions, which will give your child a solid base for branching out their artistic pursuits.
