OBITUARY: Nicholas Joseph Clabaugh

Nicholas Joseph Clabaugh, 46, of Stanhope/Jewell, died unexpectedly May 18, 2012.  

A visitation will be held Monday, May 21, from 5 to 7 p.m. at   A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, May 22, at 10:30 a.m. at in Ames.  

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Jewell. Nicholas Clabaugh was born November 10, 1965 in Webster City to Donald and Fern (Faiferlick) Clabaugh. 

Nick grew up in the Stanhope and Jewell area and attended South Hamilton Schools, where he was a star football player.  He went on to attend DMACC, where he graduated with honors as a Certified Auto Technician.  He had a passion for working on the family farm and tinkering with anything mechanical.  

He was employed at George White Chevrolet and Manatt’s. He is survived by his parents, Don and Fern Clabaugh; brothers, Michael, Anthony, and Jerome Clabaugh; two nieces and nine nephews.
