Vera Mae Meyers was born May 1, 1919 in Elkader, Iowa to Erik E. Aarvig and Pearl Mae Clark. She married LeRoy W. Meyers on August 26, 1939. She lived in Story City since 1940. Vera was a member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Jewell. She worked 18 ½ years at Bourne’s in Ames. Read Full Obit.

February 22, 1932 - February 9, 2013

Clifford L. Carlson, 80, of Slater, Iowa passed from this life on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames, Iowa. Cliff was born February 22, 1932 at home on the farm south of Slater to Alvin R. and Helen (Drake) Carlson. Cliff graduated from Sheldahl High School in 1950 and in 1952 he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and was assigned to the USS Toledo CA-133, a heavy cruiser, where he served during the Korean War. Richard "Dick" Reger

November 25, 1929 - February 9, 2013

Richard (Dick) Coffin Reger was born November 25, 1929 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Gue and Nellie (Coffin) Reger. He graduated from McKinley High School in Cedar Rapids in 1948 and served in the United States Navy from 1948-50. He married Evelyn Modracek on June 12, 1949 in Cedar Rapids. Read Full Obit.

Neoma Eletta Carlson

March 12, 1919 - February 8, 2013

Neoma Eletta Carlson age 93, formerly of Fort Dodge, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 8, at Riverside Manor in Ames.
Neoma was born March 12, 1919 in Fort Dodge and was raised and lived in Fort Dodge. She married Arthur Carlson April 9, 1938 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. The couple lived in the Ft. Dodge area until the late 70's when they moved to Ames, they returned to Ft. Dodge in the mid 80's until Neoma and Art moved to Ames in 2000 to be closer to their daughters Lana and Jane.
