Plant Sale
will be held on Saturday,
May 10, 2014 (8AM – 3PM) at the
Reiman Gardens
maintenance building in
Ames – rain or shine. Cash or check payment accepted.
Sure to satisfy your gardening
needs, this unique selection of plants - many from the gardens of our very own ISU
Master Gardeners- includes rhubarb, heirloom
tomatoes, house plants and a wide variety of perennials including both the 2014
and 2015 Hosta of the Year. Also
for sale will be hanging baskets for Mother’s Day and a large assortment of
nursery stock plants. Save the date –
and think spring!

Proceeds from this annual fundraising event support in
full or in part: the Story County library book program (garden-related books to
the
11 Story County libraries in 2013), horticulture scholarships, 4-H
horticulture awards, Community Gardens, and summer internships for Reiman Gardens and the
Iowa Arboretum. In 2013, Master Gardeners (affiliated with the ISU Extension and
Outreach Service) returned over 100,000
volunteer hours in
