Buddha's Birthday Celebration

Buddhists around the world are celebrating Vesak, this is the one day we join in celebration of Buddha Shakyanmuni's birth, nirvana and memorial. Order of Events:  Gather and set up offerings 20 mins, Washing the Baby Buddha Service with meditation, an English dharma talk will follow and end in meditation with Q&A, meeting the Master 20 mins.  This is an open event with donations welcome.  

Red Name Tablets will also be offered for $40/ family to be later located in the Shrine room in the Master's apartment.  

You may also offer to the noble Buddha money in red envelops (we will also have some on hand), fresh flowers, fresh good looking fruit, bagged nuts, sealed & unopened: bottled water, dark roast coffee, cookies, rice, noodles, flours, and spices.  All items will go to local resident Sangha, any excess will be given to the food bank.  This is also a fundraiser for the future teaching monastery to be located in Iowa, join us in this historic effort.

Entry through the patio door on Squaw Creek (south side), park on Squaw Creek or Stonehaven Drive no parking in lots.        

Blue route bus stop is behind the HyVee.  Walk past sign pro building, see stonehaven drive, walk down it through the stonehaven parking lot, enter around to the left seeing the patio door open.  Handicap entrance is available.
