Ames Choral Society Spring Concert "Made In Ames"

The Ames Choral Society presents "Made in Ames", a celebration of Ames composers in honor of Ames' Sesquicentennial celebration. Directed by Steve Hoifeldt the Choral Society will perform choral works by Dr. Jeffrey Prater, Max Exner, Paul Hertz. as well as Peter Schickele, aka PDQ Bach. "Oedipus Tex" features a 23-piece orchestra, piano for 4 hands, and soloists.  Additional pieces in the program will be performed in tribute to Shakespeare born 450 years ago.
This concert is an Ames150 event as part of the Ames Sesquicentennial celebration. The Choral Society received a grant from the Ames Convention and Visitors Bureau to assist in the concert production. ACS also receives the generous support of the Ames Council on the Arts (COTA).
