Story Construction's Small Projects Group to Mark 1,000 Projects with Ribbon Cutting and Reception

Ames, IA — On Thursday, April 24, Story Construction will commemorate an important milestone for the company’s Small Projects Group as they celebrate the completion of 1,000 projects by this specialized group. The Ames Chamber of Commerce will hold a Ribbon Cutting at 11 a.m. followed by a reception hosted by Story Construction. The event will take place at 223 East Avenue in Ames.

Mike Espeset, President, Story Construction, said “The Small Projects Group was formed in 2001 to provide services to clients whose projects are shorter in duration and require a swift attention to scope delivery compared to a typical commercial construction project. To say the Small Projects Group has been successful is an understatement, not only in the number of projects they have completed, but in the strong reputation they have built in this competitive marketplace. We are extremely proud to see them meet – and already surpass – this 1,000 project milestone.”

Since the Small Project Group’s inception, Ron North has served as Superintendent and Randy Cummings as Project Manager. Their combined years of construction experience have led the crew to success. “I couldn’t be prouder of the Small Projects crew,” said Cummings. “Many of the clients we’ve worked with over the past 13 years have been repeat customers which says a lot about the quality of work and level of commitment the team puts into every project.”
