Forget Elvis: Ames Couple Ties the Knot at a More 'Tasty' Las Vegas Location

The couple told one restaurant chain they wanted to get married in a place that reflected what they were really about.

One Ames couple traded in their wedding cake for Pancake Puppies last week when they became the first to tie the knot in a Denny's in-house wedding chapel in Las Vegas.

Nancy Levandowski and Steven Keller, both in their 50s, were married last Wednesday at the restaurant chain, according to KCRG.com. Being food-lovers, Frances Allen, chief marketing officer for the restaurant chain, said the two had been captivated by the idea of having a wedding in a place that they thought really reflected what they were about.

”They wanted something that would be very memorable and unique,” Allen said in the article.

Levandowski, director of Iowa State University dining, reached out to Denny's after learning about the in-house wedding chapel on the Food Network, the article said.

After saying their vows, the couple shared a slice of Pancake Puppie wedding cake and raised a toast with Grand Slamosa cocktails.
