WATCH: Jay Leno Takes on Lance Armstrong, RAGBRAI in Late-Night Monologue

The host of The Tonight Show joked about Armstrong's first cycling event since being stripped of his seven Tour De France titles.

RAGBRAI and cyclist Lance Armstrong recently got some national attention courtesy of late-night talk show host Jay Leno.

Lance Armstrong, a cancer survivor who won seven Tour De France titles before having them stripped after admitting to doping earlier this year, told the Des Moines Register earlier this month he'd likely come to Iowa for three or four days of RAGBRAI starting with the opening party in Council Bluffs on Saturday, July 20.

Leno, however, joked Tuesday night about the news during his monologue, the Register also reported.

“And Lance Armstrong has entered his first cycling event since confessing to doping. He’ll participate in The Des Moines Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Race. You know why he’s competing? It’s in his blood — he can’t get it out! He can’t get it out! It’s in there!”

What do you think? Was Leno out of line? Should Armstrong be welcomed on RAGBRAI this year?
