Iowa State Bacon Expo Tickets on Sale Friday

The 1,200 tickets for Ames' first Iowa State Bacon Expo are expected to sell fast.

Bring on the bacon, tickets for 2013 Iowa State Bacon Expo go on sale Friday.

The student-run event, spawned from Des Moines' Baconfest, will take place 1 to 5 p.m. Oct. 19 around the Scheman Building.

Tickets can be purchased via Ticketmaster or through the Stephen's Auditorium ticket office. They are $8.

The 1,200 tickets are expected to go quickly according to an article in the Iowa State Daily.

Details for the first Ames Bacon Expo are still being worked out, but there should be hundreds of pounds of bacon samples and a bacon eating contest.
