WATCH: Talk Show Host, Actress Cry Out on Television to 'Save Floppy!'

Late-night talk show host Jimmy Fallon and actress Catherine Zeta-Jones are the latest to cry out in protest to save the 30-year star of the "The Floppy Show" on WHO-TV.

The star of WHO-TV's "The Floppy Show" got some national attention and a huge shout-out from two celebrities this week.

Late night talk show host Jimmy Fallon and actress Catherine Zeta-Jones took to the camera Wednesday, telling viewers to "save Floppy", according to WHO Channel 13

The State Historical Museum retired the 21-year-old display dedicated to the popular canine character last month to replace it with one on the history of RAGBRAI.

The RAGBRAI exhibit opened July 18.

Floppy was part of the children's program "The Floppy Show", which aired from 1957 to 1987. Floppy starred in the show with his real-life partner Duane Ellett.

The Floppy exhibit will be carefully preserved and stored, KCCI Channel 8 reported last month. It may return to the main display areas in the future, but it's not known yet.
