What's happening in Ames on the Fourth of July
Ames Patch has published a list of What's Open and What's Closed on the 4th of July as well as when the Ames Jaycees Fireworks show takes place, it's July 3 this year. But all other festivities including the free pancake breakfast, Fourth of July Parade, and the Bill Riley Talent Show, the Fourth of July Festival and the American Legion Grand Reopening will still take place on July 4.
Ames Jaycees said typically Jack Trice Staidum or Hilton Coliseum parking lots are the best places to view the fireworks.
