Vilsack Asks Stations To Pull Obama Add

Vilsack's campaign said the National Republican Congressional Committee advertisement is misleading for its statements on Medicare cuts and more.

Christie Vilsack's campaign is requesting all television stations to pull the National Republican Congressional Committee's newest advertisement depicting her alongside President Barack Obama.

Vilsack, a Democrat from Ames, faces Steve King, R-Kiron, for Iowa's new 4th District.

In a letter to television stations the campaign stated that the National Republican Congressional Committee's advertisement is false and misleading because it claims that Vilsack supports ”Keeping Obamacare … and $700 billion in Medicare cuts.”

Attorneys for Vilsack's campaign wrote that the statement isn't true because the act doesn't cut Medicare which they back up with several news articles and stated that it fails to mention that she supports a significant provision of the Affordable Care Act including the individual mandate.

The letter written by Vilsack's legal council is attached to this story.
