Thaddeus McCotter Took a Spot in the Shade for the Straw Poll

The Michigan Congressman's tent is small and simple compared to some of the others at ISU.

Supporters of Michigan Rep. Thaddeus McCotter will find themselves at a simple stage and seating area under the trees during Saturday's Straw Poll.

McCotter's crew erected a 30- by 30-foot covered stage just two feet off the ground. Seats were arranged under some shade trees.

It doesn't look like McCotter's tent is the largest of the temporary venues being set up on the grounds of Iowa State University for Saturday's poll of GOP presidential candidates.

Check back, while AmesPatch looks for another tent.

Personally, I would have recommended a log cabin motif.
