Last Ames Assistant City Manager Finalists Announced
Ames will meet the final candidates early next week.
The City of Ames named two more finalists for the assistant city manager position.
One is Angela Montgomery of East Point, GA, and the other is Jason Slowinski of Des Plaines, IL.
Montgomery, East Point's deputy city manager, will meet the public from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday in Ames City Council Chambers. Slowinski, Des Plaines interim city manager and assistant manager, will have his public meeting from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. March 21, also in Ames City Council Chambers.
Other finalists include Jacqueline Halburnt, a former town administrator for Estes Park, CO, from 2007 to 2012. And Melissa Mundt, an Iowa State University graduate.
These finalists are four of 160 people who applied for the job. The current Ames assistant city manager, Sheila Lundt, will retire in April.
