Iowa State University Installs President Leath Friday
ISU President Steven Leath arrived at the school in January 2012 but will be formally installed as the university's 15th president at CY Stephens Friday.
Steven Leath will be officially installed as Iowa State University's 15th president 10 a.m. Friday at Stephens Auditorium.
The public celebration installation has been a tradition at the University since 1869.
The event will include brief remarks by state and university officials as well performances by Simon Estes, the Iowa State Singers and the Iowa State University wind ensemble.
Erskine Bowles, who will speak about the nation's debt a the university 8 p.m. tonight and serves as president emeritus of the University of North Carolina system, will introduce Leath.
